Clinical Fellowship & Practicum Opportunities

Clinical Supervision

Empowering the Next Generation of Speech-Language Pathologists

Our clinical fellowship and practicum placements offer graduate-level speech-language pathology students immersive, hands-on experience in early intervention services. These placements are designed to provide comprehensive training within real-world environments — homes and community-based settings — where early therapeutic relationships make the greatest impact.

Under the guidance of experienced and supportive supervisors, students gain practical skills in evaluating and treating a diverse range of speech, language, and feeding/swallowing challenges. Opportunities include working with children facing speech delays (articulation, fluency, and voice), language delays (receptive and expressive), and dysphagia (feeding and swallowing).

Students work in close partnership with families, recognizing parents as essential intervention team members. Placements emphasize a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, allowing future clinicians to coordinate care alongside occupational therapists, physical therapists, and special educators to create integrated, individualized treatment plans.

This real-world experience builds clinical confidence, sharpens therapeutic skills, and fosters a deep understanding of family-centered care — preparing students for meaningful, successful careers in speech-language pathology.
